Application Background

Scoliosis imaging assessment involves multi-position image analysis and multiple parameter measurements, requiring a comprehensive evaluation of the morphology, severity, and flexibility of the scoliotic curve, followed by Lenke classification. In traditional assessment, vertebral landmark localization, identification of the end and apical vertebrae, and measurement of parameters such as the Cobb angle all rely on manual work, making the assessment process complex when multiple images and measurement parameters are involved.

To improve the efficiency and standardization of scoliosis imaging assessment, the system uses AI algorithms to automatically identify vertebral landmarks and vertebral information on X-ray images and perform relevant parameter measurements based on the recognition results. By integrating standing and lateral bending images, the system comprehensively analyzes scoliosis severity and flexibility, providing quantitative assessment data to support Lenke classification.

Through AI-assisted image analysis, vertebral recognition, parameter measurement, flexibility assessment, and classification support are integrated into a unified workflow, helping physicians efficiently obtain key data for scoliosis assessment and providing support for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Application Scenarios
Scoliosis Imaging Assessment Designed for routine imaging assessment of scoliosis, the system uses AI to automatically identify vertebral landmarks and calculate the Cobb angle and related parameters, rapidly providing quantitative information on scoliosis severity and curve morphology to support comprehensive clinical assessment.
Lenke Classification Support By integrating standing PA and lateral whole-spine radiographs with left and right side-bending radiographs, the system comprehensively evaluates different scoliotic curves and curve flexibility, providing relevant measurement data and quantitative assessment information to support Lenke classification and assist physicians in classification.
Preoperative Assessment and Surgical Planning For preoperative scoliosis assessment, the system comprehensively analyzes curve severity, curve characteristics, end vertebrae, apical vertebrae, and flexibility, providing physicians with supporting information for evaluating spinal deformities and developing surgical plans.
Treatment Follow-up and Outcome Assessment The system measures parameters and compares results from spinal X-ray images acquired at different time points, helping physicians monitor changes in curve angles and related indicators and providing quantitative data to support treatment follow-up and outcome assessment.
